Technical Operations Coordinator
Stewart Gill Conveyors Ltd, based in Kineton UK, has been supplying overhead conveyors into all sectors of industry for over 50 years. As a long time member of the Railtechniek van Herwijnen BV Group of companies based in The Netherlands, Stewart Gill can offer a comprehensive range of overhead conveyor products which are capable of handling unit loads up to 5000kg. Besides having their own UK based production facilities, Stewart Gill can also use the available group engineering and manufacturing resources based in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Moldova. Using the accumulated knowledge of all group companies we can provide solutions for most material handling requirements. The product range includes for manual systems and fully automatic systems providing full product tracking and two-way data transfer with ERP software systems. Stewart Gill Conveyors provide a full range of services to ensure that the correct product is chosen for each application.
Currently we are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Technical Operations Coordinator with a strong background in mechanical engineering, for our office in Kineton UK. This role combines technical expertise with operational and client-facing responsibilities to ensure seamless business operations and excellent customer service.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring availability of critical materials and components.
- Coordinate with suppliers to replenish stock as needed, minimizing downtime.
- Perform regular stock audits and update inventory records.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Manage and organize documentation, including purchase orders, sales records, and supplier invoices.
- Managing company email: monitor, respond to, and distribute incoming emails in a timely and professional manner, ensuring enquiries are directed to the appropriate team members, and urgent matters are addressed promptly.
- Client Engagement and Sales:
- Handling incoming calls: answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Provide basic information, take messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate department or individual.
- Visit clients to understand their needs, build relationships, and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare and present tailored sales quotations based on client requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to propose solutions that align with client expectations.
- Technical Support:
- First-line customer technical support: Serve as the initial contact for customer technical support enquiries. Assess the request, provide basic assistance where possible, and escalate more complex issues to the service department as needed.
- Liaising with the service department: Coordinate with the service team to ensure customer support requests are handled efficiently. Relay important information between customers and the service department to facilitate timely resolution of technical issues.
- Leverage mechanical engineering expertise to provide insights and advice on product specifications and applications.
- Support the sales team in communicating the technical value of products to clients.

Job requirements:
- A technical degree, or practical experience in a similar job.
- Affinity with industrial automation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in sales and inventory management is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
